Wybot S3 Uses AI Vision and Solar Power for Total Autonomy

Like robot vacuums, robotic pool cleaners are getting smarter and higher tech, inching ever closer toward the ideal of truly autonomous cleaning. In a booming, competitive market that is expected to grow to $700 billion in the U.S. by 2030, pool owners want truly cutting-edge tech. But even the highest-end models often still require the wet, dirty manual labor of fishing the robot out of the pool to recharge.

Backed by two decades of innovation from its parent company, Wybotics, WYBOT has made the first robotic pool cleaners with completely autonomous, no-touch cleaning. They do one better than other brands’ “waterline retrieval”: WYBOT solar-charging models stay in the pool all the time, returning to a poolside dock to recharge, then getting back to work.

This month, WYBOT is launching its new flagship model, the WYBOT S3, which pairs that solar-powered autonomy with a multi-sensor fusion navigation system that identifies debris with precision and performs customized, AI-guided cleaning using the 3D map the robot creates of your pool. And during WYBOT’s Earth Day upgrade event, you can save up to 43% on their other models — or trade in your current pool cleaner and get a coupon for up to $100 off a new WYBOT product.

Precision cleaning with 3D mapping and AI vision

The WYBOT S3 significantly steps up its vision and navigation systems, making it WYBOT’s most efficient, autonomous pool cleaner yet. Its “multi-fusion” navigation takes in data from several sources at once and combines them for a real-time smart adaptation to the size and shape of your pool and the types of debris it encounters.

The navigation system includes:

  • Intelligent 3D mapping: The S3 creates a 3D map of your pool, then calculates the most efficient route for faster, smarter pool care on each clean.

  • AI Vision: The WYBOT S3 uses a 36-sensor vision sensor to automatically “see” different types of debris and optimize its cleaning path.

  • Real-time positioning and control: While the S3 cleans, it beams its position to your phone via the WYBOT app, where you can monitor its progress, set cleaning modes and more.

In-pool solar charging and self-cleaning for no-touch autonomy

Even as robotic pool cleaners have improved, the maintenance, charging, and cleaning are still major — and annoying — aspects of keeping your pool sparkling. WYBOT S3 makes those pain points a thing of the past with forward-looking technology that is truly autonomous and eco-friendly.

The S3 features WYBOT’s signature solar-powered charging dock, which is why CNET’s testing experts named the previous model their Best Solar-Powered Pool Cleaner. The dock mounts on the side of the pool, keeping the robot underwater while it charges via a solar panel. The dock itself recharges under about three days of sunlight, and can also be plugged in for DC charging when the weather’s cloudy.

WYBOT S3 is intelligent and autonomous when it comes to cleaning itself, too. While it’s at the charging dock, it automatically empties debris into a large, 10-liter bin with extra filtration. The bin slides out the back of the charging dock like a drawer for quick, easy disposal.

No hooks, no waterline retrieval: the S3 does its pool cleaning, self-cleaning, and charging intelligently and autonomously without leaving the water.

Save on other WYBOT models during the Earth Day upgrade event

The WYBOT S3 will be available in early May 2026, just in time to get your pool ready for summer. Through April 27, you can also save up to 43% on other WYBOT models or, if you need an eco-friendly way to dispose of your old pool cleaner, trade it in — any brand, any model — for up to $100 off a new WYBOT product.
