The security camera runs on batteries and can last a month between changes. The video doorbell gives you head-to-toe 2K video, and you can even connect it to your existing doorbell wiring.
Both devices are weather-resistant and built for the elements, with the Outdoor 4 handling temperatures from minus 4 degrees Fahrenheit to 113 degrees Fahrenheit. Live view, night vision and two-way audio are all baked in and Alexa compatibility lets you check feeds hands-free.
CNET expert, Tyler Lacoma, calls the Outdoor 4 “an excellent pick for a first-time outdoor camera” and the app is easy to use too. The optional subscription is just $4 a month, though the cameras can function well enough without it.
