The iRobot Roomba 10 Max is currently down to $740 at Amazon, which is a solid 47% discount from its usual $1,400 price. That’s nearly $660 off a premium robot vacuum and mop with an AutoWash dock. If you’ve been waiting for a high-end robovac deal to upgrade, this might be the time to score one.
The Combo 10 Max vacuums and mops at the same time, while the AutoWash Dock handles most of the follow-up work for you. It empties the dustbin, refills the mop tank, washes the mop pad and even dries it afterward, so you’re not dealing with a soggy mop cloth after every cleanup. It’s also a CNET “Lab Test Winner” for “Best Overall and Best Pickup Across Flooring Types.”
According to CNET expert Ajay Kumar, the Roomba 10 Max mastered two of the hardest categories in the lab testing: heavy-duty sand extraction and object avoidance. It also passed “under 3.5-inch and 4-inch furniture clearance thresholds in the room navigation test,” making it a great fit for homes with lower furniture.
This robot vacuum also has a built-in camera that helps it spot and avoid obstacles. In the lab tests, it avoided “a perfect 6 out of 6 objects, including simulated pet waste, a lamp cord, a sock and a pet toy,” so you don’t have to worry about it getting stuck in a cluttered household. Kumar also praised its strong sand pickup across all floor types and called the dock a “low-maintenance, fully automated base station.”
However, it may not be a great pick for the pet owners, as its pet hair performance “wasn’t impressive.” Also, if you’re sensitive to sounds, keep in mind that its operating volume is on the higher side.
