Why are SSDs so expensive right now?
You might find that SSD deal prices are higher than they used to be. A global chip shortage continues to affect the price of computer components, especially RAM and storage. That means that prices have increased considerably in recent months. The deals available during Prime Day may simply bring them back down to, or at least closer to, their pre-shortage prices. Memory and chip suppliers don’t expect the shortages to improve any time soon, so these deals may represent the best prices we see for a while.
When is Amazon Prime Day?
Amazon Prime Day began on June 23 and runs through June 26. That’s a month earlier than the usual July Prime Day, which means you can save on a range of deals a few weeks earlier. Since Amazon Prime Day is live now, there are tons of deals that you can take advantage of right now, including these SSD deals. Retailers like Walmart and Best Buy have also dropped deals to match Amazon’s sales event.
What is on sale for Prime Day?
There are big savings to be found across the Amazon store. The biggest deals are likely to be on TVs, laptops, e-bikes and vacuums (especially robo vacs).
