After locking myself out of my house in the dead of winter this year, I realized it is really time to move on to a keyless, secure entry using a smart lock. If you’re reading this, my guess is you’ve had this thought too. Since it’s your property you’re trusting to these locks, you don’t necessarily want to cheap out, but you also don’t want to overspend. Amazon’s Big Spring Sale is now on day four and we just spotted a great deal on smart locks from one of our favorite makers, Level. The Level Lock Plus is currently $80 off at Amazon, bringing it down to just $249. And there are a couple of other Level smart lock models on sale as well.

In their roundup of the best smart locks for 2025, our reviews team named the Level Smart Lock Plus the best invisible smart lock. Essentially, it looks just like a regular deadbolt. In fact, it’s designed to fit the existing hole for the deadbolt lock in most standard entry doors. But it actually allows for keyless entry. It includes app support, Apple Home/Home Key support and a contactless keycard. In addition, you can still use a traditional key with it.

You can unlock it via the app or you can sync it with other smart home systems such as Amazon Alexa, Google Home and Apple Home. Just tap your iPhone or Apple Watch and it unlocks. You won’t have to worry about locking yourself out of your house again — although you will want to remember your phone.

The biggest appeal for me with this particular smart lock is that it is battery operated, so installation is a DIY job and doesn’t require an electrician or wiring. That means you can probably have it installed within an hour or so of its arrival on your doorstep.

There is also an upgraded version of the same lock, the Level Lock Plus Wi-Fi, which is currently listed on Amazon for $297, a $52 savings from the original price of $349. It has all the same features as the Level Lock Plus, but in addition to those features you can also control your lock from afar. Just hook up the Level Connect Wi-Fi bridge and you’ll gain remote access, plus manage key codes and view live activity history.

This isn’t the only Level smart lock on sale right now, either. You can also pick up the Level Bolt Wi-Fi. Unlike the Level Lock Plus, this smart lock allows you to keep your existing hardware. It offers the same keyless entry features as the Level Lock Plus, controllable via smart home systems and your phone. Because it syncs to Wi-Fi, you can control it from anywhere. The Level Bolt Wi-Fi is on sale for $199 on Amazon right now, a $50 discount. There’s also a version of this lock without the Wi-Fi, but it isn’t on sale and lists at the same price as the Wi-Fi model, at $199. With no price difference there, you might as well get the Wi-Fi features.

Why this deal matters

The Level Lock Plus was highly rated by our reviews team, citing one of its only flaws not allowing for fingerprint entry like some more advanced smart locks. For the money and ease of use, it’s a fantastic way to transition from regular keys to keyless entry. But since you likely have more than one outside door to your home, you need to purchase more than one. Because of this, snapping them up at any discount is a good idea — and an $80 discount is an even better.

If you’re in the market for video doorbells or security cameras, we’ve also rounded up the best deals on smart home and home security devices happening during Amazon’s Big Spring Sale. Just remember, the sale only goes through March 31 and there are no guarantees for how long these discounted prices will hold.
