Robot vacuums have come a long way from their early bump-and-redirect days. But their autonomy is still limited by their ability to adapt to the physical environment of your home. Many models still struggle to make it across even fairly standard thresholds and uneven floors.

CNET has praised Dreame’s robot vacuums for their innovative physical arms that give them an extra boost over those high doorways. CNET experts have consistently named Dreame models among their best robot vacuums and given the company a CNET Lab Award.

Now, Dreame is unveiling its new L60 line, which combines that innovation with even more new features, like boiling-point self-cleaning that actually sanitizes the robot’s mop pads and a retractable lidar turret that allows it to slip under even the lowest furniture.

Read on for more about the new tech behind Dreame’s L60 lineup and how to get a discount on a new model during their April launch event.

The Dreame L60 lineup: four great models, same tech pillars

All four L60 models share the series’ core technology pillars — up to 35,000PA suction power, the ThermoHub 212°F hot-water mop wash and the Dual Flex Arm extendable side brush — while each stepping up in specific ways. Here’s how they break down.

  • L60 Pro Ultra (10% off): The flagship model combines Dreame’s ProLeap retractable legs with a VersaLift lidar that lowers the body to just 3.5 inches for under-furniture reach. It includes 35,000Pa Vormax suction, ThermoHub hot water mop self-cleaning, and AI that recognizes more than 280 types of objects.
  • L60 Ultra (10% off): The ultra includes a slim 3.23-inch body designed to navigate low-profile furniture and tight spaces, equipped with 3D Time of Flight (ToF) sensors that can map accurately in low-light environments. It matches the Pro Ultra’s 35,000Pa suction in a more compact form.
  • L60 Ultra PE (18% off): The Performance Edition is built for homes with heavy shedding pets or high foot traffic. It delivers 30,000Pa suction paired with Dreame’s HyperStream Detangling DuoBrush — a TÜV-certified anti-tangle system — and SmartDirt Detection that automatically rewashes and re-mops heavily soiled areas.
  • L60 Ultra FE (20%): The Fine Edition is the entry point into the series and a significant cleaning machine. It includes the new 212°F ThermoHub hot-water mop wash and the Dual Flex Arm extendable brush, with 30,000Pa suction and auto-empty dock.

L60 Pro Ultra: The robot vacuum that does it all and cleans itself

The L60 Pro Ultra is Dreame’s most technically advanced robot vacuum yet. It’s an ultimate all-in one choice that can handle large homes and complex layouts without constant supervision.

ProLeap: retractable legs that actually climb

Physical obstacles are traditionally the biggest limitation to robot vacuum’s autonomy. Thick rugs, raised thresholds and the two-layer steps common in older homes routinely strand robots mid-route. Dreame’s ProLeap system uses retractable legs to physically lift the body over double-layer thresholds up to 3.47 inches (8.8cm) and single steps up to 1.77 inches (4.5cm).

VersaLift lidar: up for navigation, down for cleaning

The L60 Pro Ultra’s lidar raises and retracts, depending on the job it’s doing. At full height, it provides the 360-degree mapping needed for precise navigation. When the robot reaches a bed, sofa or cabinet, the turret retracts, dropping the robot’s overall height to just 3.5 inches (8.9cm) — low enough to reach spaces many robovacs simply skip.

ThermoHub: boiling-point self-cleaning that actually sanitizes

Self-cleaning mops are becoming standard on robot vacuums, but hot-water self-cleaning is not. The L60 Pro Ultra’s ThermoHub technology heats the wash water to 212°F to dissolve grease, neutralize bacteria and prevent mildew from building up in the dock between runs. When the robot returns to its 8-in-1 PowerDock after a mopping session, the dock washes the mop pads at full temperature, dries them with hot air and empties the dustbin automatically.

AI object detection and edge-to-edge coverage

The L60 Pro Ultra’s onboard AI vision is trained on more than 280 object types, enabling it to actually “see” what’s in its path. That means fewer false stops for shadows and fewer collisions with charging cables or pet toys. Meanwhile, the Dual Flex Arm extends the mop pad and side brush up to 1.58 inches beyond the robot’s body, reaching into corners and along baseboards where debris tends to accumulate.
