When is MLK Day?
Martin Luther King Jr. Day is a federal holiday that marks the birthday of the civil rights activist and is observed on the third Monday of January each year. For 2026, MLK Day falls on Jan. 19. King’s birthday was Jan. 15, although the holiday in his name can fall as late as Jan. 21.
