Robot pool cleaners have been around for a while, but often seemed a bit disappointing. You needed one model to clean the pool floor and a separate skimmer for the surface. They were not truly autonomous, getting stuck or requiring you to fish them out of the water with a hook. Or they still required manual emptying and maintenance, leaving you with one of the least agreeable parts of pool cleaning: touching the wet, soggy debris.

Beatbot is one of the companies that has changed all that. Their flagship models deploy AI-powered smart features for true autonomy, and their advanced mechanics have made them able to do not just part of the job, but the whole job. The company made waves at CES 2026 with the new AquaSense X, the world’s first pool robot with an autonomous self-cleaning and self-charging station.

If you’re considering getting a new pool cleaner during Prime Day, Beatbot’s flagship models offer premium, intelligent cleaning, and they’re on sale for up to 42% off. Here’s what you need to know.

Beatbot AquaSense X: the first AI pool robot with an autonomous self-cleaning station

Robot pool cleaners have never been truly autonomous. They always need a human hand to open the filter and scoop out gunk. That is, until Beatbot’s AquaSense X made its debut at CES 2026 in Las Vegas. CNET’s pool cleaning expert wrote that self-cleaning was the feature he’d long been waiting for. “I’m excited with the idea of not scooping mounds of soggy goop from a pool cleaner every few days.”

Here’s how it works: After it’s done cleaning the pool, you place the AquaSense X in its dock, which Beatbot calls the AstroRinse cleaning station. In only three minutes, a high-pressure nozzle flushes the pool cleaner’s filter with water, knocking debris into the 22-liter bin that sits below. The bin can hold two full cleaning cycles per week, meaning it doesn’t need to be emptied for two months. And after this self-cleaning, the X switches automatically to charging so it’s ready for the next round.

Beatbot AquaSense 2 Ultra: powerful, smart performance

The AquaSense X joins the other pillar of Beatbot’s flagship line, the AquaSense 2 Ultra, which itself has been building on Beatbot’s cutting-edge engineering to deliver even more wide-ranging, advanced performance.

The elegant black robot uses an eco-friendly ClearWater clarification system, a chemical-free method to get dirt and oils out of the water. It uses crab-shell agents, or chitosan, a natural and skin-safe ingredient that binds fine particles, to make filtration easier. It’s sleek and cordless, with a powerful battery so it won’t run out of juice during a cleaning cycle, and it can be monitored via the user-friendly Beatbot app. The Ultra also drives to the edge of the pool and parks on the surface of the water when done, so you don’t have to bend down and haul it out.

5-in-1 functionality means this robot can handle every part of your pool

What sets the AquaSense 2 Ultra apart from its predecessors is its 5-in-1 functionality that combines tasks you once needed separate cleaners to handle. It excels at cleaning all surfaces of a modern residential swimming pool: It glides across the floor, climbs the wall, scrubs that forever-pesky waterline, navigates underwater steps and platforms and, of course, skims the surface of the water.

Eleven motors power two track wheels and six side guide wheels that help the Ultra grip surfaces, turn sharp corners and jet across the pool. Dual side brushes push floating debris into the suction mouth.

The Beatbot difference: layered AI for autonomous smart navigation and cleaning

Beatbot excels at the mechanical engineering required to make a pool robot that performs equally well on all parts of the pool and cleans itself. But that’s only part of the story. Using Beatbot’s overlapping AI systems, the AquaSense X and AquaSense 2 Ultra also deploy superior intelligence to adapt to the unique features of your pool and give it the most thorough, efficient clean possible.

Here are just a few of the AI systems that power Beatbot’s flagship models:

  • HybridSense AI Vision maps your entire pool using a front-facing camera, infrared sensors, ultrasonic sensors and an algorithm. This translates to an efficient cleaning route and the ability to spot 40 types of debris (twice the number of its predecessor).
  • AI Adaptive Path Planning uses sensors on the bottom of the robot to identify hazardous terrain like an edge, stairs or shallow platform.
  • AI Quick Mode tightens the routine and intentionally seeks out plant debris, which cuts cleaning time in half.

The AquaSense series is on sale now for Prime Day

Robot pool cleaners are no longer the bumbling devices they used to be, and that’s partly due to Beatbot’s combination of powerful mechanics and AI. There’s no better time to upgrade your pool cleaning experience than just before summer gets started, and Beatbot’s flagship models are on sale for up to 42% off during Prime Day.
