Amazon is working through its M3 iPad Air stock, offering huge discounts of up to $250 off, depending on the model you choose. We don’t know how many tablets Amazon still has to sell, but we don’t expect these prices to hang around for long.
The cheapest M3 iPad Air is the $499 11-inch model with 128GB of storage, but there are only a couple of the usual four colors for you to choose from. That’s a theme across all of these deals, so make sure to check all of the colors if you don’t see the right price off the bat.
The biggest discount is on the 11-inch M3 iPad Air with cellular and 512GB of storage, now yours for just $799. That’s $250 off the previous $1,049 asking price, and a great deal for a top-quality tablet.
If you want to get the same cellular feature for a little less, the 256GB model is just $649. If you really want to push the boat out, $999 will get you the 1TB cellular model, down from the usual $1,249 asking price.
These M3 iPad Airs are a great option if you want to get one of Apple’s best tablets but don’t need the extra performance of the newer M4 model. The M3 version lacks Wi-Fi 7 support, but beyond that, the main difference is in raw performance. The M4 chip is faster than the M3, but whether you’ll notice the difference will depend on how you use your tablet. Only those editing large videos and doing other pro-level work are likely to benefit from the faster M4 chip.
That said, these M3 prices are likely to make the previous-gen model a better buy for most iPad Air buyers.
