All the Mind-Blowing Home and Kitchen Tech We Saw at KBIS 2026

The 2026 Kitchen and Bath Industry Show is in the books. We traversed the more than 500,000 square feet of exhibit space in Orlando to find the most compelling, innovative and mind-blowing tech coming to the home.

Large appliances, smaller kitchen tools, bathroom fixtures, toilets, and lighting are getting better, smarter, and more efficient — nowhere was that more apparent than in this year’s three-day February showcase.

We’ve rounded up all the standouts that have caught our attention, including countertops that can charge your phone and a brand new high-speed cooking technology that’ll get a roasted chicken on your table three times faster.

Here’s all the best from KBIS 2026.

A brand new high-speed cooking technology

The Sharp Celerity High-Speed Oven has what the brand calls a “golden heater.” The industry-first oven uses a combination of traditional true convection, microwave heat to penetrate the food quickly and deeply, and infrared to sizzle and crisp the outside.  Those three cooking technologies let it roast chicken and bake cookies faster than any convection oven.

A washing machine that won’t ruin your sweater

Whirlpool introduced what it claims is an industry-first built-in delicates basket for the drum of a washing machine. It’s a straightforward yet clever design that lets you wash delicate sweaters and shirts alongside a regular load. The basket shields delicate items from the rough agitation of a standard wash cycle and doubles as a handy way to keep socks paired, making the folding process a little less tedious.

An oven with a built-in sous vide tank

Sous vide cooking has won over home cooks and professionals alike. The low-and-slow water bath method has traditionally required specialized equipment, but SKS’s new feature-packed stove eliminates that hurdle by building a sous vide tank directly into the cooktop.

Unfortunately, you’ll have to drop $12K to bring it home.

A barcode-scanning fridge

This technology made its debut at CES, but GE Profile brought it to KBIS to showcase its proprietary grocery barcode-scanning refrigerator. The smart fridge comes equipped with a small scanner on the front door, allowing you to scan items as they run low. You can then add them to a shopping list on your phone or purchase them directly through the brand’s Instacart integration.

LG’s speedy dishwasher can wash and dry in an hour

LG promises that its new Flushfit dishwasher can wash and dry a full load of dishes in an hour, saving time and energy. The handle pushes in when the dishwasher is shut and features a sleek stainless-steel design.

Countertops that cook food and charge phones

Gone are the days of bulky kitchen appliances, at least if the companies at KBIS 2026 have anything to say about it. At the show, numerous appliance-makers unveiled space-saving tech to help declutter the kitchen.

SKS Appliances debuted its countertop stovetop concept. If it performs as promised, this could eliminate the need for a traditional stove completely. The cooktop looks like a standard marble countertop, but it has heating elements beneath that make it functional.

Watch it in action below and read David Watsky’s initial thoughts on the concept.

Later during the event, FreePower unveiled MagSafe charging countertops. When your phone is placed on the charging area, a glow appears around it, but when not in use, it disappears entirely. This tech even made Watsky rethink his entire kitchen design.

Finally, a dishwasher that cleans reusable straws

A standout upgrade we came across was Midea’s straw-washing station, featured in its new washing machine set to launch this year. Straws are notoriously difficult to clean, but this dedicated compartment on the bottom rack solves the problem by shooting water directly through them, flushing out grime, mold and other buildup.

Toto’s powerful new self-cleaning toilet

Japanese toilet manufacturer Toto is attempting to transform the toilet — or at least the way we clean them. The Aurora Washlet Plus S7A One-Piece Toilet was unveiled at KBIS, featuring an integrated system that cleans the entire rim of the toilet with every flush. You can read more about the fancy features this toilet offers here.

LG’s giant fridge and freezer

LG also had a ginormous fridge and freezer on display, which were both 36 inches wide.

They both have ceiling lighting, lighting on each shelf and an interactive LCD screen on the inside that uses AI. The freezer can also make two types of ice, regular and sphere.

The SKS Column Refrigerator and Column Freezer are coming soon, but they won’t come cheap. They’re priced at $9,799 each. (That’s roughly £7,280 or AU$13,900.) Take a look at them below.

A mini Opal nugget ice maker

We asked, and Opal listened. There’s now a more compact nugget ice machine on the horizon for those who don’t want to sacrifice too much counter space for a chilled drink. GE Profile plans to release a smaller version of the beloved ice machine later in 2026, available in at least five colors.
