With Amazon’s October Prime Day sale less a week away, the deals are starting to heat up — and the online retailer isn’t the only place to score some early savings. Plenty of other retailers are offering their own discounts to compete with Amazon’s, which means you can grab tons of top tech, home essentials and more on sale right now. There are some excellent bargains available right now at Walmart, and we’ve rounded up some of today’s to picks below. For Oct. 1, that includes over $120 off Sony’s premium over-ear WH-1000XM4 headphones, $200 off a midsize Jackery Explorer 500 portable power station and a simple Asus Chromebook CX15 laptop that’s on sale for just $139 right now.

Sony’s ultra-premium WH series headphones are some of the absolute best on the market, with the latest 1000XM6s claiming the overall top spot on our list of the best noise-canceling headphones. This pair is now two generations old but still has some top-of-the-line sound and noise-canceling capabilities, and they’re a steal at over 30% off the usual price of $350. In his original review, CNET audio expert David Carnoy called them “nearly flawless,” highlighting Sony’s Speak to Chat feature, which automatically lowers the volume of whatever you’re listening to and switches from noise-canceling to ambient sound mode so you can converse easily, as well as its impressive 30-hour battery life and comfortable design.

Portable power stations are great for both emergencies and off-grid adventures, and Jackery makes some of the best options you can get right now. The midsize Explorer 500 has seven different inputs so you can charge multiple devices, and the 518 watt-hour capacity is enough to power a laptop for about 30 hours. You can also recharge it in less than six hours using a standard wall outlet. Plus, it weighs in at just over 13 pounds, so it’s easy to transport as well.

This is one of the most affordable laptops out there if you only need the basics. It has a 15.6-inch HD display, as well as 4GB of RAM, 128GB of storage and an Intel Celeron N4500 processor, which makes it a great option for browsing the web, checking emails and streaming shows, but not much more. However, it does have an HDMI, USB-A and USB-C port so you can easily hook it up to printers, monitors and other peripherals. This model is also guaranteed to receive automatic Chrome OS updates through at least 2031.
