What’s cooler than cool? Ice cold. What’s even cooler than that? Ice that’s made in 5 minutes or less. No, that’s not a typo — that’s how fast Euhomy’s new at-home ice maker, launching this week at CES 2026, makes cubes of frozen water. And I saw it in action.
We’re tracking all the latest news and launches from CES, and rumblings of the world’s fastest at-home ice maker had me hustling for a sneak peek.
In a hotel suite at Mandalay Bay, ahead of the big Las Vegas consumer tech show, a representative for the small appliance brand poured tap water into the reservoir of the Ice Leopard X1. The small, sleek machine resembles a coffee maker more than an ice maker, thanks to its round, insulated bucket. It’s also compact — about half the size of a typical at-home ice maker.
As promised, in just under 5 minutes (yep, I timed it), I could hear bullet ice dropping into the 2.2-liter metal chamber. Bullet ice is the easiest type of ice to make quickly. Even so, Euhomy’s model churns it out a full 3 minutes faster than any other at-home bullet ice maker on the market.
Filling the tub completely (measured in ounces) takes about an hour, but when time is of the essence for getting more ice at a party or home happy hour — and when isn’t it? — the Euhomy makes hosting a little less stressful. Better yet, the insulated bucket keeps ice frozen for up to 4 hours without any electricity.
But the Leopard isn’t Euhomy’s only ice maker being unveiled at CES. The brand is also introducing a sleek automatic sphere ice maker: the Rock Pro Sphere. This model produces three crystal-clear, perfectly smooth ice spheres in about 90 minutes.
Another model, the Rock Plus Square, produces blocks of ice — ideal for cocktails — that are similarly even, smooth and translucent, and does so in about 30 minutes for three blocks.
The full line of ice makers will be available in April. The Leapord X1 portable ice maker will retail for $150. Both the square and sphere ice makers will cost $200.
