The New Year is upon us, and what better way to ring in 2025 than upgrading to a Nintendo Switch OLED console? While it’s usually near-impossible to find any sort of price cut from Nintendo directly, Woot has launched a sale that drops the console/handheld hybrid down to to $330. This is a $20 discount and, better yet, it includes a copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe as well as a 12-month subscription to Nintendo Switch Online. That’s the equivalent of $79 in free add-ons. Couple that with the 6% price cut and that’s nearly $100 in savings.
Available in a sleek white design, the Switch OLED has a larger 7-inch OLED display that enhances any game played on the move. The new and improved model also doubles the standard storage from 32GB to 64GB and improves the adjustable kickstand and adds an ethernet port to the dock. A lot of the differences are indistinguishable from the 2017 launch console but if you’re not fussed about the rumored Switch 2, then this is a great way to access some of the best games of the last decade.

One of those games is Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, the go-to game for bundles from Nintendo. It’s no surprise that the colorful racing game comfortably sits as the best-selling title for the console at more than 64 million sales. And if you fancy something else, Woot has tons of Switch titles on sale at reduced rates.

Why these deals matter
Nintendo fans know all too well that the Japanese game maker rarely discounts its hardware or games. Nintendo believes that a game played on launch is just as good as when it’s played five years down the line. It’s an admirable stance for maintaining quality, but it doesn’t do our wallets any favors. That’s why sales like this one from Woot shouldn’t be overlooked. We’d particularly recommend Metroid Dread with its $18 discount, Bayonetta 3 (50% off) and Sonic X Shadow Generations, which only just released in November.
