LUBA 3 AWD: Tri-Fusion tech for advanced navigation
With what Mammotion calls its “Tri-Fusion” navigation system, LUBA 3 AWD combines 360-degree LiDAR (light detection and ranging), antenna-free Network RTK, and camera-based, AI-powered vision for truly advanced, automated lawn care tech. Each technology contributes distinct strengths to the overall navigation system: LiDAR builds a 3D map of the surroundings from ground level to tree canopy, RTK makes precision positioning correction, especially in open areas, and AI vision helps identify objects in its path. Working together, they help the mower stay safely on track – whether it’s moving through tree cover or crossing a wide, open lawn – without constant resets or remapping.
This three-part approach is quickly becoming the new high-end standard, with Mammotion at the forefront, delivering impressive, pinpoint accuracy without requiring a base station at all.
Built for yards that aren’t perfectly flat
Getting around the yard is one thing; handling slopes and rough terrain is another. The LUBA 3 AWD uses an all-wheel-drive system to maintain traction on hills and uneven ground, helping it handle up to 80-degree slopes, roots and transitions more confidently than typical two-wheel designs. CNET noted after seeing the LUBA 3 AWD in action at CES 2026: “During the live demos this thing handled extreme inclines and obstacles with the kind of agility you usually only see in high end drones.”
It’s designed to keep moving without much oversight. Onboard, camera-based AI vision helps it recognize and steer around a wide range of common obstacles, while a wide cutting path allows it to cover more ground per pass. For larger properties, it supports multiple zones and can run for over three hours and up to 0.42 acres per charge, automatically returning to recharge and then resuming where it left off.
There’s some flexibility built in, too. Through the app, you can adjust mowing zones, fine-tune schedules and even customize how your lawn looks, with options for patterned cuts like stripes or simple designs.
LUBA Mini 2 AWD: Designed for smaller lawns and tighter layouts
For tighter spaces, the LUBA Mini 2 AWD skips satellite positioning entirely and relies on onboard LiDAR for 360-degree scanning with a 200ft range and zero blind spots, capturing 200,000 data points per second to map every corner and obstacle. That can be an advantage in yards with dense tree cover, fences or limited sky visibility. It’s also designed to handle detail work more closely, with a side cutting blade that trims along edges and reduces the need for follow-up work.

- Day and night awareness: Because LUBA Mini 2’s navigation is LiDAR-based, it can work just as well in low light, deep shadows, or fog, enabling a consistent mow regardless of the weather or time of day
