Well, Black Friday is officially over, but deals are still live, and if you’re looking to save money on streaming services, you’ve come to the right place. With all the recent price hikes, the deals below are a great way to keep within your budget while still enjoying the shows and movies you love from the comfort of your home.

If you’ve been wanting to catch up on Severance or check out Pluribus, the sci-fi series everyone’s talking about, there’s an Apple TV discount you should absolutely snag. Aside from that, there are stellar deals on HBO Max, Disney Plus, Starz and more streaming platforms that have lowered their prices just in time for the holiday shopping season. Is there a better time to lock in a low price for months, a year or even a lifetime? Probably not.

CNET’s deal experts have picked out the best streaming service deals below and will keep this page updated with new Black Friday promotions as they come in, ensuring you can enjoy the best for less this holiday season.

Hey, did you know? CNET Deals texts are free, easy and save you money.

Best Black Friday streaming deals

HBO Max is offering a significant deal on its basic plan. New and returning customers can subscribe to the Basic With Ads plan for $3 a month for 12 months. That’s $36 for an entire year of DC titles, Warner Bros.’ extensive movie library and HBO’s Emmy-winning programming. Normally, this plan costs $11 a month (the service hiked its prices in October), so this discount is noteworthy. To take advantage of this 70% discount, you’ll need to sign up by Cyber Monday, Dec. 1.

Save 70% on a basic subscription

For Black Friday, Disney Plus is offering its ad-supported Disney Plus and Hulu bundle for $5 a month for 12 months. This bundle regularly costs $13 a month, which means you’ll save $8 each month. If you want to upgrade, there’s a small discount on the ad-free bundle that drops it from $20 per month to $15.

If you’ve been looking forward to streaming Taylor Swift’s concert docuseries, holiday movies and all the Marvel content you can handle, you really shouldn’t pass up this deal. New and returning customers can sign up through Monday, Dec. 1.

Pay $5 a month for the ads plan, or $15 for no ads

Through Dec. 2, new and returning subscribers can get Paramount Plus for $3 a month. This promotion applies to both the Paramount Plus Essential tier (regularly priced at $8 a month) and the Paramount Plus Premium tier (regularly priced at $13 a month). The deal lasts for two months, meaning if you want to get your Taylor Sheridan fix with shows like Landman, The Tulsa King and Yellowstone, this discount is worth it. Paramount Plus will increase its prices in early 2026, so now is a good time to get the streamer at a lower price.

Pay $3 a month for two months

Starz has two Black Friday deals to choose from. You can sign up for three months for $3 per month, which will then increase to the regular price of $12 per month after the promotional period ends. That’s a fine option, but there’s a much better one: You can sign up for an annual subscription for $12. That’s $1 a month. When you consider that a one-year membership costs about $70, it’s easy to see how this deal is hard to pass up. To secure this deal, you’ll need to pay the $12 upfront. After the first year, the subscription will renew at the regular price of $70 per year.

More streaming service deals:

  • Apple TV: Starting Nov. 21 and lasting through Dec. 1, new and qualified returning subscribers can get Apple TV for $6 a month, which is over 50% off. Visit Apple’s site directly for more information.
  • Peacock Premium: Walmart Plus is knocking down its subscription price to just $49 for one year for Black Friday. With your Walmart Plus subscription, you also get access to Peacock Premium. Technically, for less than $50, you can get one year of Walmart Plus and Peacock. Keep in mind, this offer is only valid for new Walmart Plus customers.
  • Curiosity Stream: Curiosity Stream delivers documentaries that cover a wide range of topics. Right now, new subscribers can sign up for a lifetime subscription for $150 at StackSocial.
  • Roku: Howdy, Roku’s low-cost ad-free streaming platform, is available for $1 per month for two months (which is a $2 discount from its normal price). Roku users can also subscribe to Frndly TV, the family-friendly live TV streaming service, directly through Roku for $1 a month for three months. These deals are valid from Friday, Nov. 21, to Monday, Dec. 3.
  • Prime Video: You can get Apple TV for $6 a month for six months, Hallmark Plus for $2 a month for two months, Starz for $2.75 a month for two months, and that’s just scratching the surface on the add-on deals Prime Video is offering. Most of these markdowns are valid for two months and apply to a broader list of subscriptions.
  • Frndly TV: The budget-friendly live TV streaming service is getting even more affordable for Black Friday. You can get the Premium Monthly Plan for $1 for the first three months, and the Premium Annual Plan is now available for $99 for the first year, down from its regular price of $120.
  • Plex: All Plex Passes will have a 40% discount from Monday, Nov. 24, through Monday, Dec. 1. The Lifetime pass is priced at $150; the Annual pass is discounted to $42 for the first year; the Monthly pass is discounted to $4.19 for the first month. This promo applies to new subscription upgrades and covers the first year of membership for annual plans and the first month for monthly plans.
  • Fubo: For Black Friday, you can get $30 off the live streaming service’s reintroduced Elite plan, making it $65 instead of its regular $95 price. This promotion will run through the end of the year, so you have plenty of time to get on board.

Black Friday deals on streaming devices

Fire TV Stick 4K Max: $35

The Fire TV Stick 4K Max is the top dog in Amazon’s streaking stick line, sitting just above the Fire TV Stick 4K. It’s $10 more than the regular Fire TV Stick 4K, but for the extra $2 you get 40% more power (which means faster app loads and better overall navigation), as well as Wi-Fi 6 support for faster streaming.

Roku Streaming Stick 4K: $25

The Roku Streaming Stick 4K is occasionally $10 off at Amazon and Roku but is selling at full price right now. Still, it’s $20 less than the Roku Streaming Stick 4K Plus. The difference between the two? The newer 4K Plus device comes with Roku’s new Voice Remote Pro that offers four things you don’t get with the older Voice Remote: a headphone jack for private listening, a rechargeable battery, hands-free voice controls and a clever find-my-remote feature. There’s a reason it won CNET’s Editor’s Choice Award.

Google TV 4K Streaming Stick: $75

This is a sleek, powerful upgrade to Google’s Chromecast streaming stick. It supports Android’s OS, features Google TV’s entertainment hub, and, as CNET’s Ty Pendlebury stated in his review, it’s best for users “who have a smart home decked out with Nest devices.”

What is the best streaming service?

In our list of the best streaming services, Netflix won the top overall spot. However, the best streaming service will really depend on what type of content you like to watch. For example, families may find that Disney Plus better meets their needs, as it offers a wider variety of children’s content alongside teen and adult programming.

What’s the difference between Black Friday and Cyber Monday?

Black Friday is a shopping holiday that takes place on the Friday after Thanksgiving. It historically placed a larger emphasis on in-store doorbuster deals, while Cyber Monday is primarily an online shopping holiday. Though there has been a major rise in online sales during Black Friday and Cyber Week over the past several years.

Am I locked into a contract if I sign up for one of these Black Friday streaming deals?

If you sign up for one of these streaming promotions with a monthly discount offering, you can still cancel at any time. Though canceling early will make you lose out on the promotional pricing if you decide to rejoin later.

Of course, if you pay upfront for a full year or even a lifetime contract, such as through Curiosity Stream’s lifetime subscription deal, you will have access for the full promotional period.

How did we choose these Black Friday deals?

We scoured the available deals to find the streaming service discounts that truly offer a solid value. We’ve chosen deals from the best streaming services around, and are regularly updating this list as new promotions become available.

Do Black Friday streaming service deals actually save you money?

Generally, yes. A few streaming services are offering some really great Black Friday deals at the moment, including some offers that can save you up to 40% on monthly plans. The caveat is that many of these deals are exclusive to new subscribers, while others may only last for a few months, rather than the entire year.

If you know you want to sign up for a streaming service soon, it may be best to skip free trial offers and instead sign up as a new subscriber while the deals are in full swing.

Is there a Netflix Black Friday deal?

Sadly, no. Netflix rarely offers discounts, and that applies to Black Friday, too. It’s available in a bundle if you’re an Xfinity customer who signs up for the StreamSaver package, however, which gives you Netflix, Peacock and Apple TV together. Verizon customers may also get Netflix and HBO Max bundled as a perk.
