Mad at the relentless price hikes on your favorite streaming platforms? Don’t forget that free TV services like Tubi, Fawesome and Pluto have new movies and classic films streaming every month. This month, you can check out tons of new titles, including several original features, arriving across these streaming platforms at no cost.
Tubi’s got a couple of original action movies to get excited about this month, including Play Dirty, which stars Ron Perlman as a dangerous mob boss, and Checkmate, a thriller about a detective tracking down a killer who leaves chess-related clues in his wake. Those originals, plus great action movies like Wrath of Man and The Professional, all arrive this month.
On Pluto, you can check out classics like The Godfather and The Godfather: Part II, Pulp Fiction, and The Evil Dead.
Over at Fawesome, you can watch Oscar-winning dramas like Philadelphia and The Aviator.

Tubi
Actor Ron Perlman has become a go-to anytime Hollywood needs a sinister crime boss. In the new Tubi Original Play Dirty, Theo Rossi stars as Frank Grady, a corrupt cop being investigated for working with a gangster, Murray, played by Perlman. With nowhere else to turn, Murray makes Grady an offer he can’t refuse, giving him a chance to run…but he has to finish one last job before he can leave town. The Tubi original premieres on April 4.
Another Tubi original we’re looking forward to this month is Checkmate, a crime drama starring Joyce Glenn as a detective investigating a series of murders. When she realizes that the killer is quite literally playing a game of chess, leaving game pieces as a calling card, she enlists the help of her estranged father, a chess master, to help with the investigation. Lorenzo Lamas and Dorien Wilson co-star in the film which drops April 11.
