Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior faces his second London derby since taking charge of the team, as the Blues host Premier League leaders Arsenal on Wednesday in a semifinal first-leg Carabao Cup clash.

Rosenior’s Chelsea tenure got off to a winning start with a 5-1 hammering of Charlton away in the third round of the FA Cup at the Valley stadium in south-east London. A likely tougher test is in store for the former Strasbourg coach today.

Arsenal’s 4–1 FA Cup win over Portsmouth on Sunday means Mikel Arteta’s squad is competing on four fronts, but those demands may be starting to have an impact. William Saliba and Leandro Trossard are both doubtful for this game, while Riccardo Calafiori and Piero Hincapié are definitely ruled out.

This Carabao Cup semifinal first-leg between Chelsea and Arsenal takes place at Stamford Bridge in west London on Wednesday, Jan. 14. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. GMT local time in the UK, which is 3 p.m. ET or 12 p.m. PT in the US and Canada, and 7 a.m. AEDT start on Thursday morning in Australia.
