If you’ve been browsing for a new TV to enhance those holiday movie marathons, you’re well aware that this isn’t a cheap upgrade. The best TVs with the latest features from top brands like Samsung aren’t the most affordable. But we hunted down some budget-friendly selections that don’t compromise on quality, and they’re all for $500 and under.

While they’re cheaper, most of these TVs have all the essential features you’d find in the more premium-priced options. Some of these models skip a few extras, like HLG support, but if you’re fine with that, they’ll save you a lot of money. Although we haven’t tested every model on this list, our extensive experience with these brands and their specifications gives us confidence in our selections.

Be sure to check back regularly as more deals come and go.

Hisense 55-inch U6 4K smart TV: $430

Enjoy great picture quality and tons of smart features such as game mode, which supports variable refresh rate and auto low latency.

Toshiba 55-inch C350: $230

For under $300, you get Dolby Vision, HDR 10 and all the modern smart TV features, making it a real bargain.

TCL 55-inch S5 4K Fire TV: $200

This inexpensive 55-inch screen offers 4K resolution and has all the smart TV capabilities you’ve come to expect with today’s models.

Insignia 32-inch F20 Series HD Fire TV: $70

Perfect for smaller spaces, like small bedrooms and even apartments, this TV has HD picture and built-in Alexa for streaming and a hands-free experience.

Vizio 40-inch HD TV: $124

This already affordable TV has Full HD for a clear image and DTS Virtual: X for a nice surround sound experience.

Samsung 50-inch U7900 4K TV: $230

Samsung’s budget-friendly TVs like the U7900 series may not have high-end processing or panel technology, but they consistently deliver reliable performance, solid picture quality and user-friendly features for the price.

Onn 43-inch Class 4K UHD TV: $178

The Onn model is a Roku smart television, meaning it comes equipped with our favorite user interface. It also works with Apple Home, Alexa and Google Home, as well as the Roku mobile app. Enjoy streaming over 500,000 movies and shows with thousands of free and paid channels built-in.

Vizio 50-inch V-Series 4K TV: $198

This Vizio V-Series TV was already a star at its usual price, but it’s now available at its lowest price yet. It has built-in apps for streaming content from your favorite providers and a special mode for playing games so you get the best experience, no matter what.

Amazon Fire TV 50-inch 4-Series 4K UHD smart TV: $250

Roku 55-inch Class Plus Series 4K TV: $400

As expected, this TV is great for streaming. Roku makes some of the best streaming devices on the market. And this one comes with RokuTV, so you can also stream live TV.
