Home power backup is costly to set up, it’s time-consuming and it often requires professional installation. Bluetti is looking to change that with its new line of battery products unveiled at CES this year. The Apex 300 and EnergyPro Pro 6K are two standouts in Bluetti’s portfolio of larger hardware and software ecosystem products that seek to leverage energy storage performance, smart energy network connectivity, home and business infrastructure and a lifestyle-focused approach.
Bluetti is a well-known company in the power space claiming several spots on CNET’s list of the best portable power stations. The company has a rapidly growing portfolio of products, including power stations, solar generators, portable solar panels, batteries and more. It’s also no surprise to see the company launch a set of new product lines at CES 2025, with the Apex 300 and EnergyPro 6K.
Bluetti Apex 300
Starting at the top, the Apex 300 is Bluetti’s all-in-one energy storage system for home backup, RV and off-grid living. Normally, you need a separate product for each of these use cases, as with EcoFlow’s Power Kits for RV and off-grid, which are separated from the home battery backup options.
Bluetti wants to change this by offering a power solution that works with every use case while also being scalable and expandable. The Apex 300 supports 120V and 240V loads simultaneously, meaning it should be able to handle most home appliances, such as dryers, central AC, EV chargers, water pumps, and kitchen appliances.
It has an expandable capacity of 58 kilowatt-hours and a maximum output of 11.52kW. Three units and up to 18 battery packs can be connected in parallel. Interestingly, it’s also hot-swappable, allowing you to remove the Apex 300 or a battery pack and take it with you for outdoor use, without shutting down the system for your home.
Recharging the Apex 300 is also fast, with Turbo Boost technology that lets it reach 80% charge in 45 minutes. Charging options include solar panels, vehicles, generators and EV stations.
According to Bluetti, at full power, it can charge a Tesla for extra miles and has an idle power draw of 20W, which the company claims is a third less than its competitors. In theory, this allows users to sustain seven days of off-grid power, whether in an RV setting or home use as the Apex 300 has a charging capacity of up to 30,720W.
Installation is DIY-friendly, with no rewiring or voltage-specific appliance setups. The Apex 300 is estimated to be available in April 2025.
Bluetti EnergyPro 6K
The Energy Pro 6K is intended to tackle the needs of small to medium-sized residential homes as a home battery backup option. It integrates into existing rooftop solar systems and, when paired with the AT1 Smart Distribution Box, it supports bidirectional EV charging and generator charging without manual switching.
Like the Apex 300, the EnergyPro is scalable, allowing you to connect up to five EnergyPro 6K units. With multiple connected, you can power high-wattage appliances simultaneously, including air conditioners, water heaters and EV chargers. In a parallel setup, if one of the connected units malfunction, the rest can continue to work without interruption. Bluetti says it provides enough power for weather-extended blackouts and supports small off-grid farms.
The EnergyPro 6K should be available in the second quarter of 2025.
